Description of the blasting mat

The TKR mats are made of recycled truck tires, which we receive from the tire recycling company, Suomen Rengaskierrätys Ltd.

The mats are strapped together by means of six steel cables (Ø16 mm) that are hydraulically tightened and tied with cable clamps. There are two lifting rings in the mats.
Blasting mats are very durable and they keep their shape even when lifting; therefore the mats are easy to place on the blasting field. 

 

When used right, the mats "last from father to son":

• Lift only from the lifting rings using lifting hooks
   
• Make sure the mat has not wedged into anything and that it is free from rocks etc. before lifting.
